Roanoke Service Day.
I woke up at 6:30 a.m. to head to the Newman House.
I was in the Habitat crew, and helped a family of ten today.
They used to live in a small 2-bedroom apartment.
TEN people, living in a TWO-bedroom apartment..
Well, Habitat built a house for them in Roanoke, and we helped them build it.
Painting doors and frames for a day wasn't bad at all.
Waking up at 6:30 a.m. - so worth it.
I wish I could see the faces of the family members when they see their new house.
Faith, Service, Community. :)
